Speech Contest
 

This week, Shanghai Leadership Toastmasters Club will hold the second part of our 2021 speech contest annual contests.After being inspired by our members speeches in last week’s prepared speeches and table topics contests, this week we will hold our Mandarin and Individual Evaluation competitions. 

Come and watch our Club's speakers talk on a range of topics of their choice, building their leadership skills and deploying their full range of speech techniques.

Lyazzat is the current President of Leadership club. She never stops self-exploration and self- improvement. She has ventured in the international trade industry for over 6 years after completing her studies in Linguistics. Lyazzat is a natural polyglot who is fluent in four languages, Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese, and her current goal is to conquer Spanish! That zeal to take on challenges brought her to SLTMC. Lyazzat enjoys salsa dancing, travelling, hiking, and living life to the fullest!

Tips for Zoom Meeting

It would be highly appreciated if you could follow the rules below to make the meeting a wonderful experience to all of us!

Name yourself in the form of 'Role-Name', e.g. Guest-Iris. Change your name by clicking on your name in the 'Participants list'.

Mute yourselfbefore entering the room and keep it muted (click on the microphone icon) unless you are called to speak. 

You are encouraged to participate in the 'Table Topics Session'. Use the function of 'raise your hand' (click on the hand icon) if you would like to get on the 'stage'. 

The timer will show the time by presenting cards in green, yellow and red. If you don't feel like showing the background of wherever you are, you can also try using a virtual background.

During the break, you will be allocated into smaller breakout rooms to mingle and network with other participants.
