RP2U2 book series invite submissions
The HK PolyU-PKU Research Centre on Chinese Linguistics (RP2U2) has been working collaboratively with Springer-Nature and Peking University Press to publish original and innovative research outcomes in Chinese language sciences, linguistics with particular focus on East Asian Languages, and humanities on issues related to Asia. RP2U2 emphasizes on excellence and originality in scholarship as well as synergetic interdisciplinary approaches and multicultural perspectives.
So far, we have published 17 books in three of our book series: Studies in East Asian Linguistics (SEAL), The Humanities in Asia (THIA), and Frontiers in Chinese Linguistics (FiCL).
We now cordially invite you to submit your book proposals to our book series (please find the details below).

Studies in East Asian Linguistics (SEAL) https://www.springer.com/series/15584 Editors-in-chief: Kim, Jong-Bok, Huang, Chu-Ren ISSN: 2522-5103 SEAL publishes studies in general and interdisciplinary areas of linguistics, focusing on and featuring theoretical analysis or processing of East Asian languages. Submitted work can be about a single East Asian language or a comparative work among East Asian languages and/or between an East Asian language and any other languages that contributes to the advancement of the study of East Asian languages. SEAL accepts manuscripts in the following categories: Selected papers from affiliated workshops/conferences Young scholars’ outstanding dissertations on East Asian languages Monographs on East Asian languages Lecture notes on East Asian languages Collaborative work from research projects |
The Humanities in Asia (THIA) https://www.springer.com/series/13566 Editor-in-chief: Huang, Chu-Ren ISSN: 2363-6890 THIA publishes original monographs and edited volumes in the humanities on issues specific to Asia, as well as general issues in the humanities within the context of Asia, or issues which were shaped by or can be enlightened by Asian perspectives. The emphasis is on excellence and originality in scholarship as well as synergetic interdisciplinary approaches and multicultural perspectives. Books exploring the role of the humanities in our highly connected society will be especially welcomed. The series publishes books that deal with emerging issues as well as those that offer an in-depth examination of underlying issues. The target audience of this series include both scholars and professionals who are interested in issues related to Asia, including its people, its history, its society and environment, as well as the global impact of its development and interaction with the rest of the world. The Humanities in Asia book series is published in conjunction with Springer under the auspices of the Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities (HKAH). The editorial board of The Humanities in Asia consists of HKAH fellows as well as leading humanities scholars who are affiliated or associated with leading learned societies for the humanities in the world. |
Frontiers in Chinese Linguistics (FiCL) http://www.springer.com/series/15591 Editors-in-chief: Huang, Chu-Ren, Guo, Rui ISSN: 2522-5308 FiCL is a book series jointly published by Springer-Nature and Peking University Press. FiCL aims to publish original and innovative research outcome in the fast expanding and developing discipline of Chinese language sciences. FiCL welcomes submissions of proposals of the following types of books on issues related to Chinese language and linguistics: selection of post-conference papers from leading edge prestigious conferences and workshops; monograph on research with potential to open new frontiers; and outstanding dissertations dealing with new issues and new methodologies. FiCL volumes will be published by Springer with worldwide distribution and by Peking University Press in China. FiCL is the sister series of 语言学前沿, a prestigious book series published in Chinese by Peking University Press introducing new theories and new ideas in Chinese linguistics.
